One of the nicest pubs in Biggin Hill and with a lot of history. Book early if you fancy a Sunday lunchtime roast, perhaps even two weeks in advance.

TheOldJail-Google-01 TheOldJail-Google-02Big Family garden with picnic-sets, substantial trees and good play area for this popular country pub in Jail Lane Biggin Hill (on fringe of London); traditional beamed and low-ceilinged rooms with RAF memorabilia, two cosy small areas to right divided by timbers, one with big inglenook, other with cabinet of Battle of Britain plates, Fullers, Harveys and Shepherd Neame, standard fairly priced food (not Sun evening) from sandwiches up, friendly service, step up to dining room with more wartime prints/plates and small open fire; discreet background music; dogs welcome, nice hanging baskets, open all day weekends.
